Crystal Clear April 18, 2009 Eric J. Stahl 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
My father bought this speaker as an upgrade for an Onkyo HTIB system. In fact, it was his only speaker upgrade (cheapo). He paid almost $200 for it... but every dollar of that 200 or so was well spent. Talk about clarity! When watching TV or movies, you can hear dialogue crisply without having to crank the volume. After hearing the CS225CB for myself and wallowing in my jealousy, I had to buy one too - only this time from Amazon.com at a remarkable discount. If you want clarity and precision without breaking the bank this is the center for you. I would give it 4.5 stars if I could because I think the sound could be a bit "smoother" if that makes any sense. However, I believe this is one of the best center channel speakers at the 100 (or so) dollar price point out there, period. Don't hesitate, buy it. You will not be disappointed!

The new center speaker has made using the home theatre system much more enjoyable - the voices are much clearer than before... and without using so great a volume.
Good speaker at a good price October 8, 2009 Leo E. Taylor 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This Center Speaker was my first step beyond Stereo. I bought a Sony Surround 5.1 Receiver last year and found I could not use many of its features, If I enabled the Surround the music and special effects were great but voices disappeared. I ran happily with three Boston Speakers for a few months. They are a matched set and work/look good together. The improvement was more than I expected. Of course I got hooked and added a Sub-Woofer. Finally I used two small speakers I had around the house for a full 5.1 set up.
Good no-frills center channel October 27, 2009 Matthew S. McCleary 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Cheap, good quality, supports my 32" plasma TV on top of it with no problems. No complaints. I don't think it's really anything special, but then again I wasn't looking for anything special. Plus, it was cheap. Works fine with my Onkyo 805 receiver.
Good Value Love The Style December 1, 2009 Douglas W. Freeman (Lebanon, MO) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have this center with 4 CS-26B bookshelf speakers for my 5.1 system. It is a very well matched group and provides excellent sound, especially for the $. I power these with 130 W/CH, which they handle well. Highs have excellent clarity, with a full, rich midrange. These speakers are only good for mid bass, and really need a sub to perform their best (I have a super Velodyne 15", overkill!), just as any 5 1/4 or 6 1/2 speaker does. I compared to Klipsch, Definitive, Polk, B&W, and others. IMO nothing will touch these for the price. I also love the classic, subdued styling.
